TravelsinTaste.com sat down recently with the father of Las Vegas fine dining, Chef André Rochat, owner of three award-winning Las Vegas restaurants-Andre's, Andre's at the Monte Carlo and Alizé. We met him at the latter, where we had the pleasure of speaking with him about the changes he's seen in the Las Vegas dining scene over the past 27 years, his future expectations, his inspiration for the original Andre's and why he opened a second Andre's at the Monte Carlo. This is a fascinating look at the man who is credited with starting fine dining in Las Vegas. Not only did Chef Rochat share his exceptional insights on Las Vegas, but he also allowed us to capture footage of Alizé at night, when it's at its best thanks to its spectacular views of the Vegas Strip.
