I had the opportunity to dine with you my last trip to Vegas (10/7) and I am so impressed.
The location had a wonderful view, the interior was beautiful from the moment we stepped off the elevator and the over-the-top service began the moment we were welcomed. Less not we forget the food, outstanding!!
Our server that night was Silvano Cano, and he is one of the most wonderful servers I have ever experienced in my life. I realize that it's not one man that gives great service, it is a team affair, but he was so personable, you all were.
I wish that I could bring my entire wait staff to dine with you so they would realize what I have been teaching for these 28 years in the restaurant business.
I will be back and will ask for Silvano and his helpers. You all made out three birthdays so special. The reservation that Dr. Goodnight made was, once again, simply the best!!!

Beyond The Lights

This is probably my favorite restaurant in town these days. It sits atop the Maloof's Palm Casino and is the third restaurant from the gent who gave us André's. Unlike other rooftop restaurants, these guys got it right. It isn't a big room with a sparkly view that just happens to serve food on the side. Alizé manages to create an intimate dining experience, with a fabulous menu and wine list, and personal service that is excellent without being pretentious. But make reservations. I'm not the only local who knows about it!

My husband and I dined with you on Tuesday evening. We had made reservations at another restaurant at the Palms recommended by friends. We came to Alize for a drink before our dinner downstairs. We fell in love with the view. When we arrived downstairs for our reservations we were very unhappy with the noise level in the room. We then decided to check and see if there might have been a cancellation at Alize. We were able to get a set at the windows. The view was spectacular but the food was just beyond imagination. We both had filets and agreed that they were the best we had ever had. We have traveled and enjoyed many wonderful meals but the presentation, service and view at Alize took you right to the top. We visit Vegas usually once a year and now we cannot wait to share this great fine with friends. Prices are very high, but we think it was well worth it.

My wife, Teresa, and I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant during our recent trip to Las Vegas. Afterwards, I feel compelled to write this e-mail and thank your chef and staff for an exceptional dining experience. I particularly want to thank Silvano Cano. When making the reservation I had requested a window table, letting your staff know that I wanted to create a romantic experience with my wife.
Although no promises were made at the time, upon our arrival we were led to a corner table with a beautiful “love seat” and an incredible view.
We ordered the Chef Tasting menu with wine pairing. Silvano was both knowledgeable and professional in his service and explanation of why certain wines were paired with certain foods, etc. In short, he treated our lack of knowledge of wine pairing not as ignorance, but as curiosity, and spent time respectfully instilling within us an appreciation of the culinary experience we were having. We could not have been more pleased with his service, the quality of the food, and our decision to dine at your restaurant. We will recommend Alize’ to everyone we know who is heading to Las Vegas. -
I want to express my sentiments on the Christmas Night Dinner that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed at Alizé. My wife, Betty, and I have invited friends to dine at this restaurant three times since your opening, and have always enjoyed our dinner. Each course, served on Christmas Night, had been expertly prepared with the key factors being quality and freshness of ingredients, creativity, and wonderful flavors.
The ambiance, and the professional and attentive service of the wait staff deserve positive comments as well. Our two daughters and their husbands were visiting us during the holiday season. They were extremely pleased with our choice of restaurant for our holiday dinner. Thanks for the courtesies extended to us.

Everything turned out wonderful. The food was exceptional and the cake was beautiful and perfect. This event was flawless and I can't thank you enough. All the guests had a great time and could not stop talking about the food and the view. We were able to take some great pictures to commemorate the event.

This letter is much overdue, however I just have to let you know how very pleased we were with our daughter’s wedding reception and dinner at Andre’s on May 16. Living in Colorado and arranging most everything “long distance,” you made it all so very easy for us and helped us to think of details that made the evening especially lovely. Working with you was truly a delight.
We had met with several other dining establishments in Las Vegas to explore their venues, menus and party arrangements, and I must say that after meeting you at Andre’s, we had no doubts as to where this event should be held. Your professional attitude and all the accommodations you allowed for definitely put Andre’s in a class entirely by itself. We left some of your competitors seriously wondering if they really could make this dinner happen. Thank you so very much for all your wonderful advice about the menu, the wine selections, and for leaving us with a feeling of confidence that all would be in absolute order. It was!
Your outdoor patio was a perfect welcome for our guests, and the appetizers/cocktails were nicely presented. All the decor was so beautifully done, including the scattering of little seating areas. The service under Marco’s expert direction was impeccable and the wait staff was very attentive throughout the entire evening.
As we moved inside for dinner, all was beautiful, delicious, and simply couldn’t have been any better. Holly had not been to Andre’s previously, and it was all she hoped for and more on this important day. Thank you for finding the wonderful fresh ahi that I had raved about, as well as the generous variety of other poissons du jour on the menu.
All I can say about the wedding cake is “Wow!” It was absolutely gorgeous and delicious as well; not easy to pull off! Again, Holly was just delighted. Our compliments to your pastry chef.
Without exception, all who attended were impressed and we had a most delightful time. Even though we stayed very late, we never felt rushed. It was a most enchanting experience from the time we arrived to when we departed. Several of our guests have already returned to you for dinner, and I know that Andre’s will certainly be on our “do not miss list” from now on whenever we are in town.

Last night a few of my co-workers took me to dinner at your restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the experience. Saturday night September 10th, my husband, children, and their spouses celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary as well as my successful completion of therapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer this past May.
As you can imagine, it was an emotional evening made magical by the wonderful staff and dinner we had at your restaurant. We just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you for the wonderful time everyone had at our reception on Dec. 20. The food was absolutely the best and everyone is still raving about it today. Please pass our compliments to the chef and the entire staff (especially Ross and the wait staff who took marvelous care of all of our guests in the lounge and during dinner), they truly went out of their way to make the entire evening a VERY special one for all. The room was decorated and laid out perfectly and it was such a comfort not having to worry about the details, as your entire staff made us feel confident it would all be taken care of and it was! The cake was perfect and we look forward to enjoying the topper on our anniversary next year!
I will recommend to anyone I meet that they book their event at Andre's and we would definitely dine there again or plan another event there in the future. I have attached a few photos of the event. The entire day was one we will never forget.

I would like to tell you of my recent experience at the Alize Restaurant. I started planning my 50 Birthday Celebration in April of 2009. I knew I would be holding the event in Las Vegas, I just was not sure of anything else. I picked the Alize as one
of my dinner possibilities, thus started my relationship with Jana Southard. From day one Jana was a joy to work with. In September of 2009, I made a special trip to Las Vegas to see the venue and Jana invited me to dinner so that I could experience the food and the atmosphere. From the moment the wine was served I was sure of where my special dinner would be held. I must tell you Jana was simply wonderful. She treated me like I was a big spender buying out the restaurant for the evening, not just a regular person, with 13 guests. She took care of my every need and for this I am so much more than grateful. You truly have a special person in Jana and for her you should be thankful. On the evening of my special dinner, Jana was in the restaurant, and it was Sunday. I am pretty sure she did not need to be there, but she was and that was unbelievable. From the moment my guest walked into the restaurant Jana and Patrick made them feel so very special. The food and service were simply divine. My guest said that they will never forget their dining experience, nor will I. Having my 50th Birthday Celebration at Alize was the greatest gift I could have ever given myself. I could go on for days, but I just had to let you know that I will never forget this night, and thank you for your restaurant and your impeccable staff.Thank you

Memories of Our Special Day
I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you did for us in organizing our wedding reception dinner, way back on February 19! We've only just returned back home after a lovely long honeymoon and I didn't get the chance to pop in and say thanks afterwards as we were rushing about.
Andre's proved to be the perfect setting for our dinner and drinks. The food was amazing. Even my new father in law, who used to be a chef in some of London's top hotels was impressed - and he's hard to impress! The cake was simply divine too. It looked wonderful, and was the best cheesecake I have ever tasted (believe me, I have tasted a few). The waiting staff was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were very hospitable and looked after our every need. The salon was the ideal setting for the pre and post dinner drinks (I'm not quite sure what time we left there, but it was after midnight I think) and our guests were like children in a sweet shop when they saw the fine selection of cigars and liquors available. We received so many wonderful comments from our guests about what a perfect choice Andre's was and how much they enjoyed the whole experience, I really couldn't be happier. Everyone, including Roger, and myself also loved our personalized menus and place cards too, which we have kept as mementos of the day.
Thanks again. If I'm back in Vegas, I'll make sure I come back to Andre's to dine, and relive all those memories of our special day.

However, I did want to take a few minutes to compliment you on your staff, especially the wait staff, who we thought were absolutely outstanding. They made our dinner one of the most pleasant events I’ve been to in many, many years. In addition to the wait staff, the food and the decor were absolutely superb. If there is any way that a dinner for thirty people can be turned into an intimate event, you certainly succeeded. I am back home and back to reality! I wanted to take a moment to let you know just how much Jeff and I and our guests enjoyed our dinner at Alize. It is a night we will never forget. One of our guests said, "It was the best dining experience I ever had in my life." I would have to agree! From the moment we arrived in a very, very busy lobby of the Palms, I was directed to a hostess podium near the elevator and she knew who I was. She greeted me by saying hello, Ms. McGarvey we are ready for your party of 9. I told her that 2 guests were unable to attend and by the time we got to the 56th Floor the staff in the restaurant quickly changed the table to 7.
I am so glad we went with the pre-set menu. Not only did we have a good idea of what we were going to spend, but it was also nice that everyone ate at the same time instead of different dishes arriving at different times. Our sommelier, Alain, was wonderful. I gave him a budget that I wanted to spend on the wine and he suggested a magnum of red and a bottle of white which was just perfect for all 7 of us. He advised me that if I spent my budget on two bottles it would not be enough. He was right on spot! I also wanted to give credit to a very sweet hostess that worked that night. I do not have her name, but I beleive she had dark blonde hair. My maid of honor arrived in Vegas at 10:30 am on Friday and the last time she ate was 11:30am. The long day and long car ride from the Valley proved to be too much and she got a migraine while we sat down. When dinner was served I went to find her in the bathroom looking white. She wanted me to go back to the table because the waiter was waiting to take the lids of the dishes for presentation. I asked the hostess if she would look after my friend while I went back to the table. She did. She brought her a cold compress and made sure she was ok. She did finally make it back for some dinner, but I appreciated her assistance and so did my friend.
The food was unbeleivable, the view of all three sides of the restaurant was beautiful and the service seemed as if there was no one else in the restaurant besides us. Thank you and the entire staff at Alize for making our wedding dinner amazing! As soon as Jeff and I return to Vegas, we will be sure to visit you again!!

I just had to write to tell you how fabulous your restaurant is. I’ve been to many nice places and partaken of many fine meals, but your establishment was absolutely beyond reproach. The service was impeccable, the ambiance warm and cozy, very European, and the food was so delectable, there aren’t words to describe the sensation! We received a friendly welcome from everyone we came in contact with from the valet to the bartender, the waiter, the busboy, and everyone else in between. We were taken care of in the most efficient yet careful manner. Everything we ordered from the appetizers to the desserts was incredibly delicious. Upon being presented with our wine selection we had the pleasure of conversing with Hank Maglia who is a real character and reason enough to come back, but we certainly don’t need any more. I can guarantee with 100% certainty that the next time we are in town we will be visiting our new favorite restaurant again.
My parents owned a restaurant when I was a child and were friends with several other restaurant owners whom we visited frequently, I know what a truly good restaurant is. My parents (and their friends) taught me from an early age how to treat “guests” and what to serve them. They still have people asking about them, utterly loyal to them many years now since they moved away because of exactly what you have there. We went to the restaurant “Napa” the night before coming to your place. It was nice, but we would not go back. They can’t hold a candle to Andre’s as far as we’re concerned. There’s a lot more to being the best than artistic presentation. Frankly, we felt they were somewhat rude and full of themselves without good cause. We did not feel especially welcome or enjoy the experience much and the food was not nearly as wonderful as yours was.
I’m sorry to be so effusive. I’m sure you’re very busy. I’ve never written a letter like this before. I was just so impressed that I couldn’t help myself. Thank you for providing such a lovely, memorable experience for us. We hope to see you again soon.

Recently, my husband and I visited Las Vegas and stayed at the Monte Carlo, We were celebrating our second wedding anniversary.
Growing up in Southern California and traveling Europe I have add the opportunity to dine at many fine establishments. I am writing to you to let you know our anniversary dinner at Andre's was the highlight of our trip. From the Maitre'd to the wait staff to our server Ross, our dining experience was truly splendid. The food was delicious and the service impeccable.
I have to put Andre's high on my list to recommend and visit again in the future.

After a week of hitting all the “trendy, cool, hip” new Vegas restaurants, my last and most INCREDIBLE meal was at Andre's. The food was outstanding, and the service was top notch (Ross and Mark made my evening an unforgettable one). I can clearly say this was one of my best dining experiences ever (and I live in Chicago/eat out a LOT). I will tell anyone I know that is going to Vegas to eat at your restaurant!!

I wanted to let you know that Kurt and I had our dinner at Andre's Sunday night and it was, by FAR, the BEST meal we've had in our entire lives. It was an absolutely phenomenal experience. I am going to write personal notes to Andre, our waitress, the sommelier and the general manager this week to express our gratitude. We are already planning to go there when Kurt gets back from Afghanistan.
I have to share what happened, as it was just such a great experience.
We were running a little late, so Kurt called and told them he had some meetings that ran late at the armory and we were on our way from Nellis (Air Force Base). When we arrived we were greeted by the GM, David, who escorted us to a very nice booth (their location in the Monte Carlo is gorgeous) and he inquired about Kurt's involvement with the military. As Kurt explained, he expressed his gratitude and offered to buy us a round of drinks, on the house, to express their appreciation.
The certificate is for a pre-fixe dinner with paired wines. We started with an herb cheese crepe type thing, to prepare our palates, and then proceeded to have the following (as best as I can recall): Australian lobster tail with a mango wrap and mild mustard sauce paired with Riesling; large ravioli filled with chicken and topped with shavings of black truffle paired with pinot noir; sable with black risotto paired with fume blanc; citrus mousse to cleanse our palates; lamb chops with a delicious glaze served with asparagus and baby potatoes paired with cabernet sauvignon; a trio of desserts including a nutty ice cream, berry and citrus tart and chocolate "lava cake" with a light citrusy ice cream paired with a dessert wine (not a port, I can't remember what that was, although I think it's Russian). THEN, after ALL this, they brought us huge cognac glasses with a taste of a liqueur that is made with 20 pounds of pears per bottle (I can't recall where that was from). Kurt loved this; although the taste was strong for me, it smelled heavenly.
The service was impeccable, food presentation absolutely amazing and everything tasted of perfection. That dining experience alone was well worth the package!! I wish I had taken pictures and notes!!
Thanks for getting Andre to donate that each year, and I will express the same gratitude in my note to him. We had no idea what we were missing!!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful job that you did for my husband’s 50th birthday party, held May 30th at Andre’s at the Monte Carlo. I was disappointed that I could not thank you in person, but I was glad you had the day off—to enjoy for yourself. As a result of all your hard work and considerations, the party was a huge success and everyone was absolutely enchanted.
My brother-in-law, Joe and his wife, Nantana live and work in Las Vegas, and Joe spent many hours helping me research restaurants, hotels, and other activities to make the weekend enjoyable for everyone. His first recommendation was Andre’s at the Monte Carlo, because of the long-standing reputation of Chef Andre Rochat and the downtown location. Despite Joe’s assurances, your professional approach, and the many weeks of preparation, I was filled with trepidation as I neared the doorway to the restaurant on the evening of May 30th. I wanted everything to be perfect for this special occasion. Two seconds into your foyer changed my nervousness into relaxation and pure joy! Everything was perfect from beginning to end.
I cannot thank you enought for all your suggestions, recommendations and arrangements. As I said, I only wish I could have thank you in person.
In addition, my husband, whose career includes over 25 years of management in all facets of the restaurant business, was “blown away” by the ambiance, the food, the staff, the service, the special touches. He especially appreciated the sterling silver presentation domes for the entrees and the staff’s “unveiling” ceremony! Voila!
Please extend our thanks again to Sophacles, Gabriel, Russ and Chris for their impeccable service and presentation, and especially to Chef Norbert for his fantastic banquet preparation. Everyone remarked that the atmosphere was at once elegant and friendly—a difficult balance to achieve—and the staff was a genuinely happy addition to the family gathering. There were hugs all around as we left the restaurant. Everyone is still talking about the magnificence of the restaurant and the deliciousness of each morsel of food.
Our night at Andre’s at the Monte Carlo was truly the most wonderful birthday party I could have given my husband, and I do thank you so much for helping to make it a reality. When I think of the evening, I must agree with your brochure which states, “quite simply, the best.”
