11/03/2008 - 2009 Michelin Restaurant Guide Recommended One-star

For a traditional French meal, there is no better choice in town than this timeless auberge, which evokes a gallic farmhouse with its rough stucco walls, beamed ceilings, and walls decorated with colorful crockery.

Long before Las Vegas claimed a constellation of star chefs, Andre's reigned as the city's special-occasion restaurant. And so it is today, for those who feel nostalgic for the time when folks favored French cuisine sans any fear of cholesterol and calories. Thus, you will savor lavish old-world dishes such as tender medallions of rabbit loin stuffed with sweet crab meat; and an oven-roasted poussin served over a thick jus studded with porcini mushrooms, spring peas, and bits of foie gras.

An extensive list of French and California wines pairs with Chef/owner André Rochat's private collection of Cognac and Armagnac - which is displayed in the front reception and bar areas.
